It is not. There is a spiritual and philosophical element to the practice of yoga, but it's a lifestyle rooted in becoming the best version of yourself.
Fortunately, movement is allowed in yoga! It’s helpful to move, breathe, rest, and then meditate.
Good news! Meditation isn't about stopping thoughts. As humans, that's a virtual impossibility, anyway. Meditation is learning what to do with those thoughts and training yourself to respond rather than react.
Absolutely! Vegetables, grains, seeds, nuts, and beans are all excellent sources of protein. Also, know that vegetarianism isn't required to practice yoga.
The age to start yoga really depends on the child and the type of class. There are mommy and me for newborns, and playful age grouped classes, teen yoga, and family time yoga.
While I can't make any guarantees, studies show that children with regular yoga and meditation practice handle school pressures much better than those without. Anecdotally, my own child, has experienced this.
