FAQ'S

Client Queries

1) What if I'm not flexible?

While one of the benefits of a regular yoga practice is increased flexibility, that's not the end goal. Flexibility within the mind is far more important than flexibility within the muscles.

2) Do you offer lessons for a beginner student?

Absolutely!

3) I’m not in shape. Is yoga for me, or should I get fit first?

Yoga is a wellness modality with many benefits, including increased physical health. I invite you to come as you are and enjoy the journey.

4) Is it a religion?

It is not. There is a spiritual and philosophical element to the practice of yoga, but it's a lifestyle rooted in becoming the best version of yourself.

5) What if I can’t sit still?

Fortunately, movement is allowed in yoga! It’s helpful to move, breathe, rest, and then meditate.

6) I’ve tried meditation, and I couldn’t stop the thoughts. Do you think I could learn to meditate?

Good news! Meditation isn't about stopping thoughts. As humans, that's a virtual impossibility, anyway. Meditation is learning what to do with those thoughts and training yourself to respond rather than react.

7) I want to eat healthier can I get enough protein with a vegetarian-diet?

Absolutely! Vegetables, grains, seeds, nuts, and beans are all excellent sources of protein. Also, know that vegetarianism isn't required to practice yoga.

8) When can children start taking yoga and meditation classes?

The age to start yoga really depends on the child and the type of class. There are mommy and me for newborns, and playful age grouped classes, teen yoga, and family time yoga.

9) Will yoga and meditation help my child with school pressures, tests, and peer groups?

While I can't make any guarantees, studies show that children with regular yoga and meditation practice handle school pressures much better than those without. Anecdotally, my own child, has experienced this.
